We are honored to be hosting a very special guest. Author Bryan Gruley will help us kick off National Library Week (April 10-16th) with Suspense on Sunday in the Friends Meeting Room at 2 pm.

Mr. Gruley is the author of Starvation Lake and The Hanging Tree which have received kudos from many literary critics. These books are centered around hockey, Midwestern small town life and the newspaper industry.

His literary genius owed him a nomination by the Mystery Writers of America. The prestigious Edgar Award nomination was for Best First Novel for Starvation Lake. Starvation Lake is now in its eighth printing.

Gruley will discuss the previously mentioned books and will give us insight into what the third installment of the Starvation Lake series, titled the Skeleton Box is all about.

You will be captivated by the skillful prose of Gruley's writing style which has been compared to Dennis Lahane. Books will be available for purchase.
