Brook Forest's Early Civilizations Exhibition!

Librarians at the Oak Brook Library are quite impressed by these miniature settlements--all made by Brook Forest's 5th grade students! Please stop in and check out these exhibitions of early civilization dioramas. These dioramas are informational, and as you will see below, quite artistic.

Don't believe us? Take an early peek:

Stop by Youth Services to take a look at these amazing projects! We know we've loved looking at them. You will, too!

Halloween Party 2014

We had a BLAST at our Halloween Party today, and we hope you did too! We made all kinds of crafts, including beading, coloring, a "Make Your Own Mummy" station, and a bag decorating station for Halloween candy and treats. We also played fun games, like Mummy Bowling, Bozo Buckets, Halloween Mystery Boxes, and Trick or Treating around the library. We even got to wrap up Jacob, our Circulation Supervisor, like a mummy!

All in all, Miss Theresa and Miss Julia deemed this party a success!

Thanks to everyone for coming and participating in a great Halloween program!

Special thanks to Michelle for taking pictures, to Jacob for letting us turn him into a mummy, and to Sue M. for helping clean up at the end!

Enjoy some pictures below of the festivities.
