Book: Close to Famous
Author: Joan Bauer
Call Number: YA BAUER (CAUDILL 2014)
I give this book: 5 stars

• What was this book about?
• This book was about a girl and her mother escaping from her mother's ex-boyfriend.
• My favorite character in the book was Frost because she has a big talent of cooking and being in the food network channel.
• I didn't like this book because the mother's ex-boyfriend knows where they escaped to.
• You should read this book because it tells you not be afraid to do something new.

• What was this book about?
• A cat who was born in a house, but grew up in the wild.
• My favorite character in the book was Scourge because he was very exciting.
• I liked this book because it was full of action.
• You should read this book because it has a very fun journey in it.

OPBL Youth Book Reviews, Part 1.

Along with our Winter Reading Program (which goes till March 1st, so you still have a chance to sign up and win fun prizes!), we are asking our young patrons to write a review of one of the books they chose to read as part of their Book Log.

So far, we have gotten TWO (!!!) Book Reviews from one of our regular patrons, Cristiana.

• What was this book about?
• It was about a princess who washed up on an island.
• My favorite character in the book was Ro because she survived in the wild.
• I liked this book because it has adventures in it.
• You should read this book because it might make you excited.

Book: Otis and the Puppy

I give this book: 5 stars

• What was the book about?
• It was about friendship and kindness.
• My favorite character in the book was Otis because he helps everybody and he's very loyal and helpful and playful.
• I liked this book because there [are] so many animals in the farm and a tractor named Otis.
• You should read this book because it's a fun book and I like it because it always is helpful.

Introducing Miss Theresa's Page!

I'd like to introduce Miss Theresa who conducts the Kindergarten through 2nd Grade Storytime on Tuesday afternoons to the blog!

You will often find her busily creating beautiful bulletin boards, book displays, and helping our young patrons find wonderful books and information for their school projects.

She is currently writing book reviews of all the fascinating and cool books she has recently read on her page found at the top of this page titled "Miss Theresa's Page".
