This week we hosted about 60 5th Graders from the local elementary school! The students learned more about the library building itself, how to find a book, and all about the upcoming programs and Winter Reading. Following this presentation, students listened to book talks, had a library tour, got a chance to learn more about cataloging, and enjoyed plenty of time to browse for books and start reading them.
This great opportunity allowed some students to get their own library card and provided nearly all students to get a few books, DVDs, and/or video games to enjoy over break.
We enjoyed having 5th Grade visit us and the chance to see some new faces!
It was a great site to see having the dome full of so many young readers!
